Epson has announced a partnership with leading drone manufacturer DJI to release the Epson Moverio BT-300 AR augmented reality glasses that are specifically designed to work with the DJI Phantom and DJI Inspire. These glasses will allow the pilot to see a heads up display (HUD) along, a live video feed from the aircraft, as well as be able to see through them and maintain line of sight with the drone in the real world. As a part of the partnershipl, DJI will optimize its DJI Go app for the Epson Moverio BT-300 AR smart glasses. The plan is to ship these glasses in Q4 2016, in time for the 2016 holiday season.
